cncPave is a computer simulation program whose purpose is to facilitate competent decision-making when designing concrete pavements.
The latest version of the program, cncPave, version 502 is available for download from this website.
Features you will find in cncPAVE502 are:
The prediction of the performance of all pavements, especially Ultra-thin continuously reinforced concrete (UC) is based on more testing by the Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) as well as monitoring of existing pavements. Sensitivity to annual rainfall increases with decrease in slab thickness.
This makes the performance predictions more realistic.
Please note that:
Humidity that was variable no. 15 in cncPAVE502 is now constant no. 22.
Annual rainfall that was constant no. 22 in cncPAVE502 is now variable no. 15.
Variable no. 1 - water/cement ratio - has been replaced by cement content.
The unit costs that are offered as default values - see the Life cost topic - were updated to reflect the 2009 prices.
DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS
Unzip; then click on the colourful icon of the cncPAVE502.exe file. The program should open. Then click the Help Button. The Help file should open. Please make sure that on your computer the software operates correctly. When unzipping into the existing folder the contents should replace the old files – the user should answer ‘YES’ when asked whether to overwrite. Please note that all the unzipped files must be in the same folder on the hard drive, not on the server (otherwise your Help facility will not open). Once downloaded and the files have been extracted into a specific folder on the hard drive, one should right click the cncPAVE502_Help.chm file and click the “unblock” button. Then the help function works as normal, for more help on this contact the webmaster here.
This copy of the program will run immediately and keep on doing so till 28 February 2013.
