As the Cement & Concrete Institute will be closing down at the end of April, this will be the last stats issued by the Institute. Information regarding the future dissemination of these statistics will follow.
Following the latest instruction from the Competition Commission, only a quarterly national (domestic) figure will be published 3 months in arrears, excluding figures for Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland and other exports, or imports from companies not listed below. No further breakdown is available.
Statistics are submitted by AfriSam, Lafarge, NPC-Cimpor, PPC, Sephaku Ash, Ash Resources and Ulula Ash to a firm of independent auditors, who make the consolidated national figure available to the C&CI for distribution.
The term ‘cementitious’ refers to cements complying with SANS 50197, SANS 50413 and cement extenders sold directly to end users.
