Special Courses By arrangement, the
school can accommodate unscheduled courses, to be held
on your site, for a minimum of 15 delegates. Contact
the Course Manager for details.
Presenters Scheduled courses are managed
and presented by the School's staff of competent and
experienced personnel and occasional lectures are given
by specialist guest lecturers when appropriate.
Tertiary education The C&CI's
members support tertiaryeducation by means of bursaries,
subventions and course sponsorships.

Course fees For course fees click here. Please note that all course fees must be paid before the start of the course and bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of either the full course fee or an order from companies having accounts with the C&CI. Deposits should be made into the Cement and Concrete Institute account with Standard Bank, Midrand, branch code 001155 and account number 201140349. Deposits and cheques must be identified by course name and date and be made out to the Cement and Concrete Institute. A copy of deposit slips must be faxed, together with your reference number, to the Course Organiser at +27 (0)11 315-0310.
NB: Always clearly identify the course, course dates and the person(s) for whom payment is being made.
Cancellations An administration fee
of R300.00 will be charged on all cancellations received
less than 10 working days before the start of any course.
The full course fee will be payable in the case of cancellations
on the day of thecourse and no-shows.
All cancellations must be in writing or by e-mail. Delegates
may be replaced by other suitably qualified persons
at any time at no charge.
Vat invoices Issued on receipt of proof of payment or receipt of an order number. To assist with payments, proforma invoices will be issued in advance on request.
Accommodation Delegates and their employers are responsible for all travel and accommodation arrangements and costs. The following accommodation is available in
Halfway House.

Meals Tea, coffee and lunch are included in the course fees. Special dietary requirements must be discussed with the Course Organiser in advance. Provided we are notified well in advance, we can supply diabetic, low fat, kosher, vegetarian and Halaal meals.
Dress Delegates will be working in a concrete laboratory and should wear closed, flat shoes, long trousers and avoid
loose fitting clothing for safety.
Travelling Maps to venues.
Peak hour traffic into Midrand is very heavy and delays of up to 45 minutes are normal. Delegates should arrive in good time, as registration starts at 08:00 sharp.
C&CI certificates C&CI certificates are awarded to delegates who pass the course test/s and will, where possible, be handed to the delegate on the last day of
the course.
Appeals & Rewrites Delegates
may appeal an outcome and the appeal should be addressed
to the School of Concrete Technology. Delegates may
be permitted a re-test, by mutual agreement with the
SCT.
City & Guilds International certificates City & Guilds International certificates, which are globally recognised, are awarded to successful delegates on the correspondence courses SCT 41 and SCT 42.
Delegates who pass both SCT 41 and SCT 42 and have a minimum of four years of relevant experience may apply for Associate Membership of the Institute of Concrete Technology UK, (AMICT).
The Advanced Concrete Technology Diploma Advanced Concrete Technology Diplomas are awarded by the Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT) in the UK to successful
delegates on the SCT 50: ACT course, who then also qualify for Corporate Membership of the ICT, and may write MICT behind their names.
