One of the key objectives of the Cement & Concrete Institute (C&CI) is the promotion of concrete roads in South Africa. Initial focus will be the rehabilitation of existing roads and construction of new low-volume roads which tend to be labour-intensive in nature.

The revised mechanistic design programme for concrete pavements has been launched and is available on the Internet at: www.cncipave.org.za
